Half-Life
Half-life is the time required for a medication's plasma concentration to fall by 50%.
Half-life governs dosing frequency: a short half-life means more frequent dosing, a long half-life means less frequent dosing. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are examples of long half-life agents typically dosed weekly.
