IGF-1 is the downstream marker of growth hormone signaling, produced primarily by the liver in response to GH.
Reference range
Adult reference: highly age-dependent. Functional optimization context only — not a diagnostic assertion. Range varies by lab, age, and sex.
Why it matters
IGF-1 is the practical surrogate for growth hormone status because GH itself is pulsatile and difficult to capture on a single draw. It is read in any protocol involving the growth hormone axis (including Sermorelin) to titrate dose and confirm physiologic response. IGF-1 above the upper age-adjusted reference range is the hard ceiling for any growth-axis protocol at REVRCEL.
How REVRCEL clinicians read it
IGF-1 is interpreted against age-adjusted percentiles. Mid-to-upper range is the typical optimization target; supraphysiologic is not.
