Renal
Creatinine
Creatinine is the standard marker of kidney filtration function.
Reference range
Adult reference: 0.6–1.3 mg/dL (sex- and muscle-mass-dependent). Functional optimization context only — not a diagnostic assertion. Range varies by lab, age, and sex.
Why it matters
Creatinine is influenced by muscle mass, hydration, and diet — not only kidney function. In members with substantial muscle mass it can sit above the standard reference without indicating renal pathology. REVRCEL panels report eGFR alongside it for a more interpretable read.
How REVRCEL clinicians read it
Always paired with eGFR. Muscle mass and hydration affect the value.
